WORK EXPERIENCE: Research Engineer
University of Massachusetts Medical Center, Worcester, MA                 1997 - present

   Working with surgeons, scientists and engineers in the UMass/Smith & Nephew 
   Center for Research in Endoscopic Surgery. Responsible for state-of-the-art and 
   experimental endoscopy equipment and computer controlled electronic monitoring 
   equipment. Collection and analysis of data from endoscopic and monitoring 
   equipment for inclusion in Center and academic publications. Participation in the 
   design, development and construction of new medical devices.


Process Engineer, Natick, MA                                                             
Boston Scientific Corporation                                                              1991-1997

   Responsible for developing process tooling and equipment to support the 
   manufacture of newly developed medical devices. Developed and implemented 
   process and product validation protocols


Project Engineer, Milford, MA                                                             1991-1995

   Worked closely with physicians to determine product performance requirements and 
   guidelines for research and clinical studies. Lead project teams through all phases of 
   product development from prototype to manufacturing release. Prepared and 
   released documentation of product and process qualifications. Supported 
   manufacturing with process improvements, cost reduction programs, troubleshooting 
   equipment and processing issues.


Manufacturing Engineer, Bonded Abrasives Division
Norton Company, Worcester, MA                                                       1987-1991

   Created processes for the manufacture of vitrified grinding wheels. Participated in 
   process improvement and cost reduction programs.


Biomedical Engineering Technician

   Maintenance and component level repair of electronic and mechanical medical 
   equipment. Involved with the evaluation and purchase of new devices.
